This month, we have LARA & LEO

LARA & LEO were born in a litter of 4, with 2 brothers in my building. From the very beginning, these two siblings were inseparable. If you saw Leo, you could be sure Lara was right there by his side. Stuck at the hip, they grew up exploring together, napping together, and relying on each other for comfort.

When it came time to find them a home, I knew I had to keep them together. But there was one key hurdle — Leo and Lara weren’t the most social with people. They never let me touch them, and I was worried about them being sent back due to this. I also couldn't keep them at a foster till I found an adoption lead.

For months, I kept posting about their adoption, hoping the right family would come along. And, finally, it happened. A kind and patient family opened their hearts to one of them, and I was worried about separating the two. Then a miracle! They decided to take both in.

The only catch- this family was in Chandigarh. But after weeks of video calls, thorough vetting, figuring out transport, and socialisation at a foster, they finally made it to their forever home. 

It truly feels like they are where they were meant to be - loved and cared for, together.
